General Questions

No, but if you'd like to give us your old bike we're happy to write you a tax-deductible donation receipt.

Yes! We offer a variety of classes that you can find here: https://www.recycleabicycle.nyc/pages/rab-classes

Every bike that is rebuilt is a bike diverted from the waste stream, and every purchase goes to support our educational and philanthropic programs. By shopping with us you're helping to promote bike knowledge, safety, and use in all five boroughs!

Not yet, but we're working on it! Keep checking in or send us an email and we'll let you know when we're able to have people gather with the proper safety precautions.

Bikes and bike parts in good condition and good working order are most likely to be useful and find a good home. Bikes and parts donated to us which aren't in good condition may still be broken down and parted out to avoid going into the waste-stream, but materials like plastics and rubber may still end up in the landfill.

We'll do our best to repurpose any donations we check in, but materials like rubber and plastics are not generally recyclable, and are among the largest sources of waste on the planet. We cannot sell or reuse used helmets for reasons of safety.
