Community Ride Series

Recycle-A-Bicycle’s Community Rides bring together community members from across NYC to explore the city, and beyond, by bike. By cycling together, we hope to empower New Yorkers of all identities, build community, and advance Bike New York’s mission of promoting safe, sustainable, and more equitable transportation for all.

Coming Soon

Your bike (with lights) and a helmet! We also recommend you bring any water, snacks, and other bike gear (lock, repair equipment, etc) you may want.

Rides are free, but you must register to attend. Registration for each Monday ride opens the Tuesday before.

The rides start at Recycle-A-Bicycle (858 Fulton Street) unless otherwise advertised.

Ride destinations vary week to week. At the end of the ride, there will be options for public transportation or a group riding back towards the downtown Brooklyn area. You can find details for the upcoming ride’s destination on Instagram or Facebook (@recycleabicyclenyc).

Ride length varies week to week, but rides are typically between 5-20 miles. You can find details for the upcoming ride’s length on Instagram or Facebook (@recycleabicyclenyc).

Rides are generally beginner to intermediate level, but can be adjusted depending on the group’s comfort and experience.

Recycle-A-Bicycle does not have rental services, but there are Citi bike docks nearby!

Inclement weather may cancel rides; these cancellations will be posted in advance. There are no rain dates for Monday night rides, but you can join us the following Monday!
