Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Ride

When: 4:30PM, Saturday, December 3, 2022

Experience the holiday lights this season on your bike!Starting at the Vessel in Hudson Yards, we'll follow the greenway through Manhattan and into Brooklyn down to Dyker Heights, where we'll weave through the neighborhood taking in the beautiful light show before heading north and finishing up at Recycle-A-Bicycle.

Average pace will be 10-12 mph; this ride is no-drop, but there are multiple bail-out points.

Registered participants will receive a complimentary Peloton Indoor Cycling Shoe. To redeem your shoe, participants must email us at



Your bike (with lights) and a helmet! We also recommend you bring any water, snacks, and other bike gear (lock, repair equipment, etc) you may want.

Rides are free, but you must register to attend. Registration for each Monday ride opens the Tuesday before.

The rides start at Recycle-A-Bicycle (858 Fulton Street) unless otherwise advertised. 

Ride destinations vary week to week. At the end of the ride, there will be options for public transportation or a group riding back towards the downtown Brooklyn area. You can find details for the upcoming ride’s destination on Instagram or Facebook (@recycleabicyclenyc).

Rides are generally beginner to intermediate level, but can be adjusted depending on the group’s comfort and experience.

Recycle-A-Bicycle does not have rental services, but there are Citi bike docks nearby!

Inclement weather may cancel rides; these cancellations will be posted in advance. There are no rain dates for Monday night rides, but you can join us the following Monday!

We will be hosting longer weekend rides in the upcoming months (details to come). If you want to get involved, you can also stop by the Recycle-A-Bicycle shop (858 Fulton Street) or check out classes offered by Recycle-A-Bicycle on Wednesday nights.
